OCOsink’s Strategic Growth with APEX Accelerator
OCOsink, an emerging leader in energy efficiency consulting, sought to expand its services by partnering with federal and state agencies. However, navigating the complexities of government contracting and forming strategic public/private partnerships required expert guidance.
Through the support of Ishrat Nazmi at Apex Accelerator, OCOsink gained critical insights into government contracting requirements, positioning itself for future opportunities with federal and state agencies. While securing a prime contract remains a goal, Apex’s guidance has already delivered tangible results, most notably OCOsink’s partnership with the Connecticut Green Bank. This collaboration enables OCOsink to offer early-stage program development through its Energy Program Facilitation pathway at no cost to clients. Additionally, projects funded through C-PACE benefit from an interest rate reduction, making energy efficiency upgrades more financially accessible and impactful for organizations.
OCOsink has also earned recognition from the Department of Energy’s Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains (MESC) as a “third-party assessor providing assessments equivalent to an Industrial Assessment Center (IAC).” As a direct result of OCOsink’s industrial energy assessments, manufacturers are eligible for an Implementation Grant for up to $300,000 per measure with a 50% cost share. This designation strengthens OCOsink’s ability to support Connecticut’s industrial and manufacturing sectors, advancing the company’s mission to make energy efficiency accessible.
The team at OCOsink extends its gratitude to Apex Accelerator and Ishrat for their invaluable support and guidance towards our growth and mission.
