Required Sessions for Government Contractors

  1. Federal Registrations, Certifications, Create a Government-Tailored Capabilities Statement
    Required for all clients

    Learn how to properly register and maintain required profiles such as SAM.gov, SBA profiles, and applicable federal and state certifications, as well as how to develop a government-tailored capability statement aligned with your target buyers. This session ensures your business is visible, compliant, and positioned for government opportunities at the federal, state, and local levels
  2. NAICS Alignment, Market Targeting and Bid Match
    Required for all clients

    Understand how to align NAICS codes, conduct basic market research, and identify the right agencies, buyers, and opportunities.
  3. FAR 52.204-21: Safeguarding Covered Contractor Information Systems
    Required for clients pursuing federal contracts or subcontracts
    Learn when this FAR clause applies, what Federal Contract Information (FCI) is, and the basic safeguarding requirements expected of contractors.
  4. Cybersecurity Basics for Government Contractors
    Required for federal and defense-oriented clients; recommended for others
    Gain a high-level understanding of cybersecurity expectations, risks, and future requirements that may impact government contractors.
  5. FOCI Awareness (If Applicable)
    Required only when applicable
    Understand Foreign Ownership, Control, or Influence (FOCI) and how it may affect eligibility for certain federal or defense contracts.

Each client’s path may look a little different depending on your goals (federal, state, and/or local). Your Primary Counselor will guide you on which sessions apply and the recommended order.

After each session, clients receive helpful resources and tools and continued guidance. Your Primary Counselor will track your progress and help you apply what you’ve learned to your specific contracting goals.
